William “Bill” L. Sperman, 83, of Lathrop, MO, passed away January 31, 2018.
Visitation will be 10-11 am, Monday, February 5, 2018, at First United Methodist Church of Kearney. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 am at the church.
Bill was born August 29, 1934, in Richmond, MO, to William & Violet (Worhaye) Sperman.
He married Madeleine Coates on August 12, 1955, in Kansas City, MO. Bill was a graduate of NKC High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Bill worked as an Electrician for Bendix, which later became Allied Signal Aerospace, contractors for Dept. of Energy, for 44 years and retired in 1998. He was a member of the IBEW Local 124. For the last 20 years Bill & Madeleine spent their winters in Mission, TX. Bill loved the country and was an avid fisherman. He coached little league baseball for 13 years and was a huge Royals fan.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents: William & Violet Sperman; brother: Dale Sperman of Ft. Worth, TX, and his beloved dog, Morgan.
Bill is survived by: his wife Madeleine of the home; daughter: Cheryl Randall & husband Kent of Lee’s Summit, MO; son: Bob Sperman & wife Julie of Kansas City, MO; son: Tom Sperman of Lee’s Summit, MO; 8 immediate grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother: James Sperman & wife Florence of Manhattan, KS; sisters: Beverly Riddle & husband Wylie of Springfield, OH, and Nancy Rogers-Klassen of Wichita KS.
