T.J. Binkley passed away at home on July 9, 2016, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 23.

T.J. is survived by his parents, Cindy and Jim Edwards of Kansas City, Missouri, and David and Susan Binkley of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; siblings, Meghaan Binkley-Hopper and Dale Hopper of Kansas City, Missouri, Alyssa Harvey of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Elizabeth Binkley of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; a niece, Leah Stauch of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; a nephew, Harrison Hopper of Kansas City, Missouri; grandparents Dee McFarland of Emporia, Kansas, Jim Cook of Kansas City, Missouri, and Harry Waters of Leavenworth, Kansas; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Kathy Cook (Smith) of Kearney, Missouri, Bob Smith of Kearney, Missouri, Delbert and Sheron Binkley of Liberty, Missouri, and Maggie Waters of Leavenworth, Kansas, and an uncle, Shayne Smith of Kansas City, Missouri.

T.J. was born on October 13, 1992, in North Kansas City, Missouri, to Cindy Edwards and David Binkley. He graduated from Winnetonka High School in 2011. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, Missouri, as a lineman in the tire shop.

T.J. loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a dedicated worker who was proud his union. He enjoyed making people laugh and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Kearney, Missouri. The funeral will immediately follow the visitation with a graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kearney, Missouri. All are welcome to attend and celebrate T.J.’s life.
