Shirley Dysart at the age of 80 left us on November 9, to join her husband, Wayne Dysart, where the dancing has begun again. She was the first born to Warren and Gladys Davis of Carrollton, Missouri on November 24, 1937 and followed by EIGHT younger brothers. Her early life was spent helping her mother with all of these boys.

Then a man from Dover, Missouri, Wayne Dysart, swept her off her feet and married her on January 26, 1957. They had 2 children Kay (Steve) Hoy and Kurt (Julia) Dysart who then provided them with 4 grandchildren Katie (Ashton) King, Beth Anne (Ryan) Naylor, Kayla (Colt) Ruelle and Wesley Dysart. She also has 2 great-grandchildren Weston and Greyson King and another nugget coming in January – Baby Boy Naylor.

She worked for Pence Plumbing and Electric for many years as Bob Pence, Sr.’s girl Friday (bookkeeper, appliance sales, repair requests, etc.) Shirley was a member of the Community Covenant Church and attended a bible study group of wonderful women.

We remember her for her passion around her family, her shopping trips, being there for her grandkids, going to the lake, horses, and getting her hair done weekly. Her grandmother skills were such that her oldest grandchild told the other 3 that she really had a good thing going with Grandma until THEY came along.

As for those 8 younger brothers, only one has preceded her in death, Wesley. The others, Roger (Sondra), Dennis (Patricia), Ben (Linda), Pat (Nina), Kenny (Ellen), Steve (Joyce), Nubbin (Kim) who have provided many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11a-12 p, Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Community Covenant Church, 1820 S Jefferson St, Kearney, MO. Funeral will follow at 12p. Burial will be 1p, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Trotter Cemetery, Carrollton, MO.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Oak Pointe of Kearney, 200 Meadowbrook Dr., Kearney, MO 64060
