Sean Robert Newton, age 43, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, August 27, 2016, in Excelsior Springs.
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Paul and Sharon (Gray) Newton on May 12, 1973. He married the love of his life, Sabrina (Williams), on September 6, 1998, in Grandview, Missouri. Their happy union was blessed with three remarkable children: Gavin, Tristan, and Klarissa. Sean earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Ceramics and Jewelry from Northwest Missouri State University in 1997. He was a gifted Jeweler, dedicated colleague, and friendly face at Meierotto Jewelers in Kansas City for 19 years. As a devoted father, he made time for baseball, tennis, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Mic-O-Say, and Saturday night dinner. Always gentle and so often goofy, he enjoyed Star Wars, Star Trek, geology, art fairs, meatloaf, fruit cocktail, and chocolate-covered raisins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Newton; and his grandparents, Paul and Lois Newton, and Loren and Marjorie Gray.
Though his beautiful life was cut short, Sean will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Sabrina, and their three children; mother, Sharon; parents-in-law, Arthur and Terry Williams; grandfather-in-law, John Savage; brother, Doug, and wife, Lynetta; brother-in-law, Tommy, and wife Leah; sister-in-law, Sarah, and husband Jonathan; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, and funeral service at 11 am on Friday, September 2 both at Excelsior Springs Baptist Church. Interment following at Crown Hill Cemetery.
