Samuel Scott Still, 48, of Kearney, MO lost his courageous battle to cancer on May, 7, 2017, at North Kansas City Hospital. He battled Multiple Myeloma for over 3.5 years.

Sam was born October 24, 1968, in St. Joseph, MO, to Vern and Pat Still. He married Angie (Stumpff) Still on May 26, 1995, at Grace Evangelical Church in St. Joseph, MO.

Sam is survived by his wife, Angie Still, and two sons, Peyton and Carson Still, all of Kearney, MO; his father Vern Still of St. Joseph, MO; his three sisters, Kathy Bunten of King City, MO, Shelley Giseburt of St. Joseph, MO, and Diana Ackerman of Smithville, MO; 5 nephews and 1 niece.

Sam’s mother, Patricia Still, preceded him in death along with all of his grandparents.

Sam graduated from Benton High School in 1986 and moved to Kearney, MO, in 2003. He worked as an Auto Body Technician all of his life. He and his family have been part of Kearney First United Methodist Church for many years. He had a passion for fixing wrecked cars and for God. He also loved spending time and vacationing with his wife and 2 boys.
The family would like to thank their family, friends, and church family at Kearney First United Methodist Church for supporting Sam for the past 3.5 years.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Kearny First United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the church. Burial at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the family for an education fund for Peyton and Carson Still.
