Ronald “Ron” Arthur Moore, 73, of Kearney, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, in North Kansas City, MO.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm the funeral will be held at 12:00 pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home Of Kearney. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery Kearney, Kearney, MO.

Ronald was born August 13, 1946, in Garfield, AR. He is the son of the late Norman and the late Dorothy (Sanders) Moore. He married Janice Allen.

During his school years he played baseball and participated in FFA. He graduated from Bentonville High School in Arkansas in1964. Soon thereafter, Ron moved to Kansas City, Missouri. There he attended watch repair school and worked for Hallmark Cards where he stayed until he retired 44 years later. It was at Hallmark that he met the love of his life, Janice Allen. The two married on September 26, 1965. Ron was in the Missouri National Guard from 1966-1972. Ron’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was an avid Royals and Chiefs fan. His hobbies included fishing, wood carving, chainsaw carving, bowling, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife: Janice (Allen) Moore, one daughter: Mindy (Brent) Grusing, and one son: Shannon (Diane) Moore, one sister: Mary Looney and two brothers: Jim Moore and Jerry Moore, he also has three grandchildren: Caleb, Micah, Asher Grusing.

Ronald was preceded in death by his sister: Carol Wilks.
