Roger Dale Gudermuth, 63, of Lawson, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020, in Excelsior Springs, MO.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 2 pm – 3:30 pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney, 925 MO-92, Kearney, MO.

Roger was born April 13, 1956, in Kirkwood, MO. He is the son of the late Edwin Dale and the late Myrna Jean (Taylor) Gudermuth. He married Judy Marlene Pillsbury on June 5, 1976 in Kansas City, MO.

Roger was a giving man who was always willing to help anyone who asked. He had the best sense of humor and was able to find the bright spot in any dark situation. Roger was proudest of being a father and grandfather. One of his funny quirks was that he always had candy in his pockets for his grandkids. Roger, being the giving soul that he was, would clean off Judy’s car every morning along with making dinner for her every evening. Roger loved being with his family, going on vacations with them, and especially their float trips down the Meramac river. His favorite hobbies were collecting junk, being outdoors, fishing, eating breakfast with Mike Brown and his trips to Harbor Freight. Rogers love and generosity will be what are missed the most.

He is survived by his wife: Judy Marlene (Pillsbury) Gudermuth, one daughter: Tonya (Jeff) Deason, and one son: Kevin (Christina) Gudermuth, two sisters: Sandy Belew and Susie Ingram, and one brother: Jerry Gudermuth, he also has five grandchildren: Dylan Deason, Garrett Deason, Kylie Deason, Korben Gudermuth, and Camryn Gudermuth.
