On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, Robert Lee Thomas (Bob) joyfully embraced the arms of Jesus. Bob will be loving remembered by his two children, Nancy (Chip) and Michael (Kimberly). Along with seven grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, Brandi, AJ, Christopher, Ashtyn and Shaye. And one great-grandchild, Oggy.
Bob was born on September 20, 1932 to Harley Edwin Thomas and Eva Elizabeth Carpenter Thomas in Butler, Missouri. He is survived by one sister, D. Fay Fennewald and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Beverly Jean Wiley Thomas, one sister, Lynda Ann Thomas Skaggs and two brother-in-laws, Ernest Arthur Fennewald and Jerry Franklin Skaggs.
Bob honorably served in the United States Army and received a purple heart during his tour of duty in the Korean War. He retired as a pipe fitter from Ford Motor Co. in 1997. And was a member of UAW Local 249, VFW and many Antique Tractor & Steam Engine organizations.
Bob was well known as the man who could fix anything. And he was gifted with creating wonderful masterpieces made of metal and wood. Bob’s greatest accomplishment was the time he spent in prayer and preparing for eternity. Bob was an active member and deacon of Orrick Christian Union Church.

Visitation will be 11:30a – 12:30p, Monday, October 15, 2018, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Richmond. Funeral Service will follow at 12:30p. Burial in Memory Gardens in Richmond, Missouri.
