Robert was born May 27, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the son of the late Clarence and the late Ruth (Sterling) Gordon. He married Cherie Cooper on April 17, 2004, in Kearney, Missouri.
Bob was a Master Technician, an achievement of which he was very proud, and worked as the Head Diagnostic Technician at Heartland Chevrolet. He was incredibly adventurous and somewhat of a thrill seeker. He enjoyed flying a stunt plane, riding motorcycles, and off-roading in Jeeps. He also loved camping, boating and water-skiing. Bob was also known for his amazing numeric ability; he could solve a Rubik’s Cube in 60 seconds. He had many friends from every walk of life and loved all animals.
A special thanks to the phenomenal hospice nurses that helped Bob and his family during this difficult journey.
He is survived by his wife: Cherie (Cooper) Gordon, two daughters: Gay (Barry) Scogin, of Olathe, Kansas, and Krystal Giebler, of Kansas City, Missouri, and three sons: Mike (Jeanette) Gordon, of Newport Richey, Florida, James Bond, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Matthew Roark, of Orrick, Missouri; one sister: Janet Sherwood; and six grandchildren: Kristin Parnell, Sarah, Scogin, Gracey Bond, Savannah Bond, Melanie Clark, and Megan Johnson.
