Robert I (Bob) Carmichael, 80, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019, in Richmond, MO. Memorial Service is Saturday, November 9, 2019, will be held at 10:30 am, Flack Memorial Church, 1300 Tracy, Excelsior Springs, MO.. Luncheon to follow service.

Robert was born July 8, 1939. He is the son of the late Melvin Otto and the late Lucille (Covey) Carmichael.

Robert served in the US Navy. He was a welder by trade. Robert loved to fish and mushroom hunt with his best friend Red. Most of all Robert loved his dog Bucky. He enjoyed playing his guitar and loved to write songs and sing them.

He is survived by his companion: Debbie Walters; one daughter: Bobbie (Tim) Zimmerman of TN; and one son: Robert Carl (Lorri) Carmichael of TX; four sisters: Betty Davis of Richmond, MO, Melva Barb of Richmond, MO, Marilyn Sue (Bill) Kreitz of TX and Delores (Mark) McFee of Richmond, MO; sister in law; Eileen Carmichael of Richmond, MO; and two brothers: Melvin (Linda) Carmichael Jr. of Wood Heights, MO and Donald Carmichael of Excelsior Springs, MO. He leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. He also leaves his neighbor Larry whom he considered as his Guardian Angel.

Robert was preceded in death by his first wife: Louis K. (Ralston) Carmichael; and second wife: Gwendolyn (Hubbard) Carmichael; one brother: Kenneth Toby Carmichael; and his daughter at birth: Barbara Jean Carmichael.
