Norman R. Huskisson, 74, of Republic, Missouri passed away on January 26, 2013, at Manor Care in Springfield, MO. The family will receive friends from 4-5 pm, Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Kearney, Missouri. Funeral service will begin at 5:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery In Kearney. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Norman was born on August 8, 1938, in Torrance, CA, the son of the late Charlie and Ruth (Clevenger) Huskisson. He met Judith Ann Koenig when he was 17 at North Kansas City High School. They were united in marriage on October 24, 1958; and were blessed with two daughters, Connie and Stacy. Over the years, they lived in North Kansas City, Lee’s Summit, Loveland, CO, and Arkansas. Judith and Norman traveled the world together; they went to Germany, Holland, Ireland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Hawaii, Martinique, Mexico and the Barbados.
Norman owned and operated Mid America Heating and Cooling with Dwight and Shirley Dillard in Lee’s Summit and had also built homes in the same area. Norman enjoyed motor boating, fishing, hunting, and raising quarter horses.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Judith of the home; daughters, Connie Sue Williams & husband, Mark, of Butler, MO, Stacy Huskisson of Loveland, CO; brother, David Huskisson of Platte City, MO; and two grandchildren, Sheldon & wife, Michelle Williams and Drue Williams. He was a wonderful, strong, smart, and gentle man with a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
