Lucy J Dirck, 85, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019, in Kansas City, MO.

Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2019, from 10-11am at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 24, 2019, the funeral home followed by the burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Lucy was born October 17, 1933, in Excelsior Springs, MO. She is the daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and the late Lucy Birdie (Jones) Marrant. She married Richard Dirck, September 15, 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dirck on November 27, 1999.

Lucy worked for Whitaker Cable for 20 years and then worked for EPI from which she retired in October 1994.

She is survived by one daughter: Kathy (Pat) Coffman of Excelsior Springs, MO, and one son: John Richard (Karen) Dirck; six grandchildren Cory Dirck, Whitney Dirck, Sean Coffman, Ryan Coffman, Misty Haight, and Crystal Haight; three great-granddaughters: Alana Lizette Coffman, Lorelei Vale Coffman, and Paisley Clark; two great-grandsons: Kyle Dirck and Devin Busick; three step-granddaughters: Samantha Starr, Lacey Logan, and Tiarra (Taylor) Harris; four step-grandsons: Kenny Starr, Tristan Kirk, Daniel Kornardy and Jerod Harris; two sisters: Alida (Kenneth) McKee and Brenda (Chesley) Jones, and seven brothers: Rick (Cheryl) Marrant, Henry (Joyce) Marrant, Gary (Brenda) Marrant, Roy Dean Marrant, Robert (Beverly) Marrant, Billy Marrant and Marty Marrant and Ann Killion: Sister-In-Law: Irene Marrant, Special and Cherished friend: Bobby L Webb, and many, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Harris, brothers, Justin Marrant and George Marrant, sister, Mary Jo Goolsby, and grandchild, Scotty James Shields.
