On Thursday, March 29, 2018, Lloyd Elvin Casteel, husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vera; their children, Debra (Jackson), Danny (Annie), David (Cathy), Dale (Debbie), Dwight, Dwayne, Lloyd Darin (Carol), Lloyd Elvin, Jr. (Sharon), Terry (Joe), Tina; his brother, Jesse Lee (Candy); his sisters, Helen and Betty. Lloyd will forever be remembered by his numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Lloyd is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Once he was honorably discharged he went into Construction. Later on in life he began his career as an over-the-road truck driver. Lloyd enjoyed being a truck driver, however, his true passion was playing the bass guitar in the band, Johnny Nace & The Midnighters.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse & Eva (Martin) Casteel.

Visitation will be 12-1p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Funeral service to follow at 1p.m. at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Lawson. Burial in Lawson Cemetery.
