Larry Sharp, 75, died April 16, 2018.

Born to James (Bob) Sharp & Virginia Taylor. He was raised in Lucas County, Iowa and graduated from Chariton High School class of 1961. That fall he enlisted in the Air Force & served at Bergstrum in Austin, TX, where he practiced the mechanic trade. After his enlistment he attended Spartan Aeronautical School in Tulsa, OK, and obtained an A & P license. Following his certification, he was employed by TWA/AA in Kansas City for 37 years.

He married Carol Schilling in 1963. They had two children, Julie Kerr/Mark and Jerry Sharp/Shery who survive. Also 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Grace and Myida.

Larry treasured is family and family time. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, farming, watching all types of races, all things mechanical and travel.

He was quick to volunteer and served on the Lawson fire board, church committees, Methodist Wilderness camp projects and 4_H.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Sharp & Ginny Taylor Sharp, paternal grandparents George Sharp & Ruby Blakely Sharp, maternal grandparents Elmer & Bertha Tayor, all of Lucas County, Iowa.

Services at the Hidden Valley Funeral Homes, Kearney, MO, on Friday, April 20, 2018; visitation 9-10 am, followed by service and 10 am. Burial at Chariton Iowa at 2:30 pm on Friday.
