Larry Burton McSparren, 74 of Cameron MO, passed away March 6, 2019. Visitation will be held March 11, 2019 at Cameron Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri from 9am to 10am. Graveside services will be at the Fairview-McCurry Cemetery, north of Salisbury, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League or Fairview-McCurry Cemetery Association

Larry was born on April 7, 1944 to Earl and Bertha Marie (Pegelow) McSparren at home in Hamden, Missouri. He was the youngest of six children. He was a graduate of Salisbury High School. He served in the U.S. Navy War from 1963 to 1965 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After receiving an honorable discharge, he started a family, worked in the siding business, and traveled to many parts of the country. He retired from construction after working as general contractor in window installation and siding application for over 40 years. In most recent years, Larry enjoyed watching sports, playing Elk’s bingo, listening to oldies and country music and exchanging witty remarks with the staff and his friends at the Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Gayla and his son Rodney. He also leaves behind his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sisters Twila Penrod and Anna Marie Preston, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Arnold McSparren and Marvin McSparren, and his sister Margaret Stevenson.
