Rev. Kenneth W Lockamy, 78, of Kansas City, formerly of Lawson, MO, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at home in Kansas City.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2019, from 10-11 a.m. at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Lawson followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Lawson Cemetery, Lawson, MO.

Rev Lockamy was born June 21, 1941, in Lawson, MO. He is the son of the late Clell and the late Mary (Cates) Lockamy. He married Joyce Swope on February 19, 1960. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Swope) Lockamy on March 7, 2000.

Reverend Lockamy served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969. He then went on to be the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Rayville, Missouri for over 20 years. His ministry extended to Israel where he did missionary work. Reverend Lockamy was a big fan of golf and the Kansas City Royals, but his most favorite hobby was spending time with his 5 grandchildren, all who lovingly called him “Papa”.

He is survived by two daughters: Teresa (Matthew) Weber of Kansas City, MO and Kenya (David) Castellani of Fairway KS; one sister: Betty Armstrong of Panama City, FL and one brother: Lou Fink of Excelsior Springs, MO; and five grandchildren: Rheanna, Ian, Adrian, Victoria, and Triton.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Reverend Lockamy was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Lockamy, and sister, Ella Mae Fink.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Congestive Heart Failure Clinic of North Kansas City Hospital.
