Jamie Sue Hammett, 45, of Cameron, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019, in Kansas City, MO.

The graveside service will be held 2:30 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Old Union Cemetery, 17990 N Union Rd, Lawson, MO.

Jamie was born September 9, 1974, in Excelsior Springs, MO. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Mary Coles.

Jamie was a beautiful woman and only required the simple basic things in life. She needed a home with the man she loved and who loved her back every bit as much as she loved him. She needed her kids in her life. She needed her sister and other family members and friends. But more importantly she needed her puppy. She got up everyday and loved going to work. She loved being a waitress at IHOP and was proud of it too. She spent very little of what she made on herself, she spent her money on others, showing her true colors as a giver. She loved traveling, especially with her children, making memories with them. Jamie also enjoyed crafting with beads, and when she was in bead crafting mode, everyone was going to glammed out in some type of beadwear.

She is survived by her life partner: Jim Van Gundy, one daughter: Kylee Pike, and two sons: Brandon Pike and Craig Hammett, Sister of two sisters: Leanne Galloway and Cynthia Adams.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
