Howard Clen Curtis, 81, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Sunday evening, February 12, 2017. Born June 13, 1935, in Gallatin, MO, he was the son of Virgil C. and Elenor E. (Ward) Curtis. On May 27, 1955, at Liberty, MO, he was married to Wanda June Cox. Surviving are stepmother Louise Curtis; brothers, Gary and Rex Curtis and Clyde and Darrell Mullikin; sisters, Kate Parks and Zelpha Milligan; daughter, Kim Curtis Willis of Albuquerque, NM; son and daughter-in-law, Deron R. and Brenda Curtis of Excelsior Springs, MO; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, stepfather Clyde Mullikin, brother, Loren Curtis, and sister, Rosalie Barnes. Mr. Curtis was born and raised in the Gallatin/Breckenridge area before moving to Excelsior Springs. Howard was a veteran in the US Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a proud union Maintenance welder. He was a standing member of the Woodland Baptist Church and the Masonic Clay Lodge #207. He formerly served as a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ariat Shrine, and the Rayville and Silver Spurs Saddle Clubs.
