Helen Christine (Coble) Ivy, 67, of Holt, MO, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, in the Liberty Hospital ICU.

Visitation will be 10am-12pm, Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Hidden Valley Funeral Homes. Funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial in Antioch Cemetery.

Helen was born on November 7, 1949, in Smithville, MO. She was the youngest of thirteen children.

Helen was married to the love of her life, Gary D. Ivy on July 23, 1965, in Holt, MO. From this love, two sons were born, Christopher Ivy and Darrell Ivy.

Helen’s passion as a homemaker was interacting with her family. She always made a special effort to bake any pie or cake that might be requested by a family member or friend. The most popular request was for her delicious red velvet cake.

Helen enjoyed being active outdoors. She loved working in her garden and flowerbeds. She enjoyed fishing and turkey hunting. She always kept the feeders full for the birds that she loved to watch.

Helen was devoted to her family and was the proud Grandmother of three Grandchildren: Harlie Ivy of Holt, MO, Paige Ivy of University of Missouri, and Max Ivy of University of Missouri and two Great Grandchildren; Jaxon and Zeke Yelton.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother: Roy Coble and Celesta Ann (Allen) Coble; three sisters: Claudine Dray, Ulla Marie Coble, Maryln Dray and three brothers: J.D. Coble, Gerald Coble, and Jimmy Coble.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Ivy; her son: Christopher Dean Ivy and daughter in law, Sharon (Provow) Ivy; her son, Darrell Allen Ivy; her Grandchildren, Harlie, Paige, and Max Ivy; her Great Grandchildren, Jaxon and Zeke Yelton; four sisters, Maxine Chilson of Kansas City Kansas, Glenda Jackson of Kearney, MO, Judy Moore of Holt, MO and Ann O’Dell and brother in law Kenny of Holt, MO; a brother and sister in law Van and Cheryl (Cooper) Coble of Seffner, Florida; and many very much loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Because of her thoughtfulness and love for everyone, everyone who knew her will miss her.
