Elmo D. “Bert” Waisner, 98, of Cameron, MO passed away February 20, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be 6:30-7:30pm Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney. Funeral Service will be 10:30am Thursday, February 27. Burial to follow at 1pm at MO Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
Memorial Contributions may be made to VFW Post 5717 at 301 W Washington Street, Kearney, MO 64060.

Elmo was born May 31, 1921 in Hastain, MO to the late George & Effie (Balke) Waisner.
He married Edith (Knox) Waisner on September 27, 1941.

Bert enjoyed being a member of his church, spending time with friends, watching baseball, but most importantly, surrounding himself with family. He was a member of Winnwood Baptist Church approximately 60 years. He served as a Deacon of the church and was involved in Sunday School, and helped Edith with preparing meals for Wednesday/Sunday services and many other special occasions at the church.

Elmo is survived by his daughter: Donna (Barry) Edwards; two grandchildren: Kimberly (Mike) Jones and Jennifer (Brett) Watts, four great grandchildren: Caleb (Devin) Watts and Dalton Watts, Evan Jones and Chase Jones, nephew: Ted (Michelle) Knox Sr., grandchildren: Ted (Emily) Knox Jr., Tami (Scott) Lewis, great grandchildren Reece, Liam, Braxton, Gabe, Jude, and Rhen.
Preceded in death by his wife Edith (Knox) Waisner.
