Ellen B. Lebold, 91, a long time resident of Lawson, MO, died on March 2, 2019, in Tucson, AZ.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 19, 2019, 5-7pm; Memorial Service: Wednesday, March 20, 2019, 10:30am; at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Lawson. Burial Lawson Cemetery.

Ellen was born to Warren W. Buckley and Lois McGuire Buckley on August 4, 1927. Ellen married Charles Lebold on June 25, 1948, who preceded her in death. Three children were born to this union: Gingy, Shirley, and Greg. In addition to her children, she is survived by four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Ellen was a substitute teacher in the Lawson School District for many years. She participated actively in many school projects and enjoyed working to support tax and bond issues. As a long time member of the Lawson United Methodist Church, she chaired the Rotary Weekly Dinners Committee and taught Sunday school classes. She was a part-time World Book Encyclopedia representative.

In 1980 Ellen and Charlie established Jen-De-Le Tree Farm, specializing in quality timber production. They were recognized state-wide for their conservation practices and timber management. They often participated in educational demonstrations on their Clinton County farm. Ellen served as President of the Missouri Walnut Council.

Ellen’s passions were education and conservation.
