Donald Wayne Cockrum, 80, of Holt, Missouri passed away on May 10, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Donald was born on March 24, 1940 in Shelby County, Missouri to the late Virgil and Ona (Brown) Cockrum. He married Waverly McCollum on June 14,1959 in Clarence, Missouri.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Lawson Assembly of God, with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Holt, Missouri following the service.

Donald was a faithful and godly man who was loved by his family and church family. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 41 years. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, riding horses, trail riding, camping, and attending farm auctions and horse sales. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Donald and Waverly attended the Assembly of God church in Lawson where he faithfully served as a deacon for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Ona Cockrum, granddaughter Brittney Stone, grandson Chance Cockrum, two sisters, and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife Waverly Cockrum of the home; sister Faye Schlomer; children Frank (Sandra) Cockrum, Carla (Rick) Stone, Gayle (Jeff) Bye, and Julie Groom; grandchildren Brooke (Sean) Laffey, Heather Larkin, Lance (Nicole) Stone, Courtney (Barrett) Wright, Zachary (Kristen) Bye, Ashley (Harry) Sutton, Joshua (Nikki) Bye, Seth Groom, Ethan Groom, and Trinity Groom; fourteen great grandchildren and one on the way.
