Dexter (Tink) Leon McGee, 75, passed away on September 9, 2016, in Kansas City, MO. He was husband to Jenny McGee; they shared 44 years of marriage together.

Born in Lumberport, WV, he was the son of Clyde and Katy McGee. He enlisted in the military, Army Branch, in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He then worked for 29 years at Tension Envelope as a machinist.

He will be remembered for his joke telling, witty personality, orneriness, and for the love he had for his family. He was a hardworking man that would go above and beyond to provide for his family. He loved to tease the grandkids and get them to argue back with him. His passions were go to the casinos (the boat) and scratching lottery tickets. He was a meat and potatoes kind of guy who loved his desserts. He enjoyed anything to do with the military and watching his westerns.

He is survived by his spouse Jenny McGee, his three daughters Lisa McGee, Donna Mays (Tim), and Karen McGee. His five grandchildren Courtney Morales, Trevor Remington, Zachary Morales, Zane Hester and Madilynne Mays. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, seven brothers and sisters.

The family will receive visitors at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs, MO, from 6-8pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2016. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be 11am, Thursday, September 15, 2016, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Messenger Chapel of Richmond, MO.
