Delana Faye Shroyer, 63, of Excelsior Springs passed away on Sunday Morning January 21, 2018.

Delana was born on February 19, 1954, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, to Harold and Elsie Dallas. She was the fourth of four children and the only girl. She spent her childhood at Daddy’s side chasing after her three older brothers.

At the tender age of 14 she met Timothy C. Shroyer, whom she married in 1969. Tim and Delana became the proud parents of three boys; Timothy, Terry, and Jeremy. Delana enjoyed her life as a wife and mother. She was an incredible cook. She made the best homemade biscuits and gravy, just liker her dad. Delana enjoyed hanging out with family and was loved by all, including her nieces and nephews.

As years passed, she was blessed with a total of 13 grandchildren: Timothy Jr, Jessica, Katelyn, Haiden, Brittney, Shelby, Amy, Lauren, Allyson, Madison, Maci, Dalton, and Braxton; and one great-granddaughter: Eleanor Brittingham. All her grandchildren would agree, she was caring, tender-hearted, sometimes tough woman who loved each of them. To some she became more than a grandmother, she was also their mother.

Delana is survived by her husband Timothy, of the home and her sons, Timothy and wife Lisa Shroyer, Terry Shroyer, Jeremy and wife Amber Shroyer all of Excelsior Springs. Also surviving is her brother Dale and his wife Bonnie Dallas, all of Excelsior Springs and her many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Proceeding her in death are her parents, Harold and Elsie Dallas, brother James Dallas, brother Larry Dallas and her granddaughter Allyson Shroyer.
