Dale A Schnath, 75, of Rayville, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at home in Rayville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018, from 11a-12:30pm at American VFW Hall, 312 Clark St, Richmond, MO.

Dale was born April 13, 1942. He is the son of the late August Diedrick and the late Zerlina Myrtle (Clapsaddle) Schnath. He married Sue Rector on September 29, 1961, in Macon, Missouri, to whom he was married for nearly 57 years.

Shortly after his marriage to Sue, Dale served in the Army. Upon completion of his service, he worked at Armco Steel as a Line Worker for 18 years. He also worked at Tension Envelope for 17 years, and Wal-Mart for 12 years.

Dale was an avid collector of John Deere tractor, of which he owned 13 of the A Series. He also had a collection of over 300 collectible John Deere Models. Dale and his wife enjoyed racing cars at the drag strip in Kansas City, Missouri. They also enjoyed working on car engines and building GTO’s.

He is survived by his wife: Sue (Rector) Schnath; one daughter: Deb Schnath of Richmond, MO; two sons: Larry Schnath, and David Schnath of Polo, MO; one sister: Ester Schnath of WA; and one brother: Ralph Schnath of MO.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Ella Schnath.
