Charles Edward Paden, 77, of Rayville, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017, in Richmond, MO.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 1:30-3:00 pm at Hidden Valley Funeral Home Of Excelsior Springs. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm.
Charles was born October 24, 1939, in St. Joseph, MO. He is the son of the late Donald E and the late Lois Ruth (Nelson) Paden. In 1957, he graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. As a young man he had many jobs. He thoroughly enjoyed working at The Elms hotel and also caddying at the Excelsior Springs Country Club. He married Katherine Lucille Cox on August 22, 1959, in Rayville Missouri. The two have been happily married for 58 years.
He worked at General Motors as a Lead Repair Man, from where he retired in 1989.
Charles was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Anyone who knew him would tell you that he knew the Smithville Lake by the back of his hand and where all the honey holes were.
He is survived by his wife: Katherine Lucille (Cox) Paden, two daughters: Ruth G Holt and Carol L Angelbeck,, and one son: Charles D Paden of Richmond, MO. He also has nine grandchildren: Brian Angelbeck, Dennis Angelbeck, Justin Angelbeck, Jennifer Aldana, Shanna Tait, Clint Holt, Katherine Snyder, Eric Paden, and Charlsey Paden. He also had twelve great grandchildren: Alyssa, Jocelyn, Lillian, Natalie, Abram, Alyssa, Hunter, August, Ella, Marcus, Zia, and Braden.
