Alice was born June 9, 1933, in Orrick, MO. She is the daughter of the late Benton Clark and the late Bonnidel (Cates) Rowland. She married Charles Arthur Still on May 19, 1951 in Liberty, Missouri, who preceded her in death on April 22, 1985. Together, they started Still Ditching Service, LLC, and raised 5 children.

Alice was a member of Lawson Assembly of God Church. She went on many mission trips with the church and did crafting to sell to donate money to the missionaries. Alice was also a member of the Women’s Ministry at the church.

Alice was an avid gardener and crafter. She loved sitting with her family in the garden, feeding and watching the birds. All of her daughters remember her sewing their Barbie Doll clothes as well as clothes for the family. Alice was an old-fashioned, home-style, meat and potatoes cook, but was known for her baking skills. She made all of her grandkids’ birthday cakes. When she was younger, Alice enjoyed bowling, and as she got older, she continued her love of the sport by going to her sister-in-law’s home and would bowl using the Wii.

She is survived by four daughters: Brenda Colbert, Debbie (Randy) McCrary, Tamie (Rick) Wilhelmi, and Marsha (Dwayne) Holtzclaw; and one son: Phillip (Debi) Still; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her brothers, Sammy Rowland, and Ben Rowland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lawson Assembly of God Church, 527 West 6th Street, Lawson, MO 64062, or the Rowland Cemetery Association, 13614 S New Garden Road, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
